Well, for years in selling real estate, I have frequently suggested remodelling various aspects of a home to make it truly yours!  The word "remodel" will never again fall so easily from my tongue!  I have now lived through a 60 day remodel of a 30 year old home.  The guys at Lowe's know me by name!  Everything thing I wanted, I did.  I didn't think about resale, I didn't think about my kids moving home, I didn't plan for some future "man" in my life.  This house is totally mine and done ONLY with me in mind.  And it is perfect.
BUT, I have new respect for the brave souls who do a massive remodel.  What did I do?
New furnace, hardwood floors added, hall closet converted to kitchen pantry, wet bar converted into large walk in closet, filled in the sunken living room, put overhead lights in all the bedrooms, removed cabinets in kitchen, replaced all light fixtures throughout home, added recessed lights in kitchen, new tile in kitchen and sunroom, painted all brown stained woodwork Chantilly Lace, painted all walls cream in my coffee, carpet shampooing in bedrooms, duct cleaning, putting in cable tv wiring, new outdoor light fixtures.  Raise all the outlets high enoug...
